How connecting works
Before you start
- A Facebook account that can manage your business on Meta, or a new business portfolio created during sign-up.
- A phone number that can receive a code by SMS or call.
- If the number is in the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app today, remove it from the app first. Chats on the phone do not carry over, so back up any you want to keep.

Open Settings › Channels
Click the WhatsApp Business API card, then Continue with Meta.

Finish in Meta's window
Choose or create your business portfolio and WhatsApp Business Account, add your number and display name, and enter the code Meta sends.

Your number is connected
ezychat shows Connecting your number… and then lists it in Channels. Meta may review your display name, which can take a few days.

What Meta charges
Meta charges per message for some WhatsApp messages, billed to your own WhatsApp Business Account. The rate depends on the type of message and the country of the person you message, and Meta changes its pricing from time to time.

What is the difference from the WhatsApp Business app?

Can I keep using the WhatsApp Business app on the same number?
No. ezychat connects the number to the API, so it has to be removed from the app first.
Can I connect more than one number?
Yes. Each number is a channel, and your plan sets how many channels you can connect: 1 on Free, 4 on Growth, 10 on Professional and 20 on Scale.

Meta may ask for business verification before you can message more customers each day. It happens in Meta Business Settings, not in ezychat.
